I think that most people would have to admit the weather has been "wild",
too much rain, snow, wind. Living in Georgia, we rarely expect to get snow.
In the past no. of months, we have had snow (2-4 in.)on Christmas Day.We have
had snow two times since Christmas. This amount of snow may not seem much,
but Georgia isn't equipped to deal with this as other states. Recently,
we had a few days with sun and temps. between 50-60 degrees. I, hope you
enjoy the photos I took when I went to Berry College. I, was amazed to
see some students laying on blankets on campus enjoying the sun. Also
included are two photos showing buds on the trees as well as the yellow
jonquils coming up from the ground. All that I see are wonders of life and
blessings given to us from God.

  2. You are so right about our GA weather this year. Such a hot, hot summer (at least here in south GA) in 2010 and now such a cold winter. I don't look forward to the heat and gnats so am trying not to complain too much about the cold. At least in the winter I can cozy up inside with my blanket and a warm fire! I need to learn how to make a collage of pictures like these. All you smart bloggers amaze me!

  3. Rose, these spring photos are so beautiful. I agree, wonders of life are everywhere. Sometimes, we just need to stop for a moment and look around us to see all the beauty.
Have a weekend filled with beauty and joy!

  4. We've had more snow this year than we've had in 6 years. I'm loving it, though! Berry College isn't far from where we used to live! Beautiful area!

  5. Those scenes look like our early spring...now it's just snow, ice and snow and ice! A little warm up is coming this weekend and hopefully we can get our front walkway and decks cleaned up. Did I tell you that my brother lives in Acworth GA..? He's a Chicago boy, but has been living in GA for a while and he wasn't happy to have to deal with your winter this year. Hope it's all up hill from here!

  7. Even in Rome there are signs of spring, and yet here a little further south I have no reminders that spring is in the air. What's up?
Well, your pictures give me hope anyway.

  11. Lovely photos, Rose. And I think even if you have a few decorations as a reminder of something--Valentines Day, this time--it just brings a little joy to someone's life. Don't you agree? Have a blessed weekend. Gloria

  27. And I love snow falling down when I don't have to drive in it, but the last couple of storms have been a bit much. We broke all kinds of records in Oklahoma last week.

  28. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures! I can understand you not being equipped for this type of weather. But with me being in Ontario Canada it is a given every year. It is funny that whenever we have driven down to Florida as soon as we get to Georgia we immediately start to notice the change of weather. Our winter hats start coming off!

  39. Rose, your pics are fabulous. I have heard so much of Berry College; after your post, I am determined to visit and have a looksy for myself. I do not like being cold, but do love being snuggled under heavy blankets in a cold house during the night. I will miss that part of winter.
With the Ga weather today, the outdoors calls to me as the sirens to the sailors of yore.
