MEET MS. ANNA OUR FOSTER DOG(baby)

Well, let me tell you that Ms. Anna, is not our real baby (dog), first her first name doesn"t start with the initial M, as all of our 5 other babies, secondly, she has a mother named, Telsa. Ms. Anna, has come to our house for us to baby sit while her Mother does errands. Her mother is Young and has no family, it looks like we may have fostered her mother. Recently, Ms Anna and her Mother have stayed at our home for the past month while their house is being remodeled. Hopefully, they will be back in their home next week. It sometimes gets crazy at our home.Along with Ms. Anna and her Mother, I forgot to mention that we have Ms. Anna's siblings, the twp parakeets, who now occupy living in our spare bathroom. Now, back to Ms. Anna. Ms. Anna is a Chihuahua. She is light brown and her feet are white. Her tail is long and curls in a funny shape. She is a barker and loves to eat. Ms. Anna, and our 5 babies (dogs) usually get along except for food. we have to feed her separately from the others. Ms. Anna seems to have a fixation on being not happy with our oldest baby, Ms. Missy. Ms. Missy, doesn't do anything but Ms. Anna is always trying to bully her. This reminds me of David and Goliath. It' wild at this house when we have visitors come to our fence gate. All Of our five babies as well as Ms. Anna, runs and greets people with alot of barking, they aren't mean in anyway to strangers. AT night time or in the day, we hate when we hear a fire truck or an ambulance, as all six will then sing out very loud. Although Ms. Anna is small she has let the other children know not to bother her. Pester her and she will come out fighting, no size matters. Ms. Anna is smart, probable more so than any of our babies. On command, she will Sit, stand on her hind legs, lay down, bark, and do a high5. Our babies do none of these tricks. Some time ago, we put in a dogie door that leads to the kitchen. it touch us over a week from pushing, bribing to get our babies to use the door. One of our babies, Ms. Molly, still at times get brain loss and won't go through the door. Now, Ms. Anna took only 5 minutes to learn to use this door. Ms.Anna is a lap baby. If someone is siting down she demands them to hold her. Now none of OUR 5 babies, don't have this issue. HA! HA!. Ms. Anna's size, although small, she is a gladiator, so don't forget that. Playing with her and her toys, she will hold on and rarely give up to defeat by losing her toy. My blog is about treasures. I consider that Ms. Anna as well as her mother is a treasure that will always be in our hearts and minds. Is there a pet or something or someone that has become a treasure to yourself that you won't forget?

  1. Another great story Rose. I never ever ever thought I could get as attached to a pet as I have but my baby girl ( my dog) is my constant companion and when I'm having a bad day, just a look from her makes it all better!

  6. Ms. Anna is adorable! I have to say my family is my treasure and one day when the kids are a little older I hope we get to experience the love of having another pet ours passed away a couple of years ago and we haven't been at a place to add another one to the family yet. :)

  7. Sometimes I miss having a dog, but most times I'm fine without one. Our last one had all sorts of problems I don't want to deal with again!!! I just won my first (maybe only) BLOG AWARD. I am to share it with 15 people and I chose you as I really enjoy your blog. Please don't feel you have to participate, however, because as I understand it some bloggers don't like to deal with awards. I felt I needed to try it at least once since someone was kind enough to visit my blog and share with me. See my blog to better understand.

  9. Hi Rose! I never had pets when I was young. My family just wasn't "into" dogs or cats, etc. I got my first puppy when I was about 30! He was a mixed breed and my son, Scott, named him Rocky. He lived to be 14 and I cried for days when he was gone. We got our present dog, Tiger, shortly after losing Rocky. Tiger is now 13, so I know her days are numbered, too. She has really been my beloved pet and I cherish my time with her. Yes, she is my treasure!

  10. Cute story. Those chihuahuas are a special breed, aren't they? My daughter's had 2 of them during the past 9 years.
I can definately idenify with the dogs howling over the sound of a siren! What a fuss they can make when 5 or 6 dogs howl together.
Just one short year ago, we had 5 dogs, too. We lost the two oldest ones this past year, which leaves us with only three now. I especially miss my collie, Hobbs, who died on Easter.

  11. Seeing as where you're from, and seeing your foster dog, what I really want to know is whether dogs have accents.... I sorta think they do.

  14. Rose, thank you for the sweet comment left at English Cottage. Your pet babies are adorable. Our Bucky (border collie) does not react to sirens (thank goodness our street is Main Street), but thunder is another story. :-)

  15. Your are so kind to take in your foster "kids"! We had our pound puppy Ferris (the wonder dog) for 15yrs. He was cocker/beagle and the smartest dog ever...atleast to us he was! I have many funny and fond memories.

  21. Hi, Rose! I'm thinking about going Award Free also. Loved that someone gave me the award simply because it's nice to know somebody reads me!!! But it was a LOT of work!!! I will wait awhile and make the decision. Many are, many aren't so guess I'll just play it by ear for now. Have a great day!

  22. Rose that is one cute little dog Ms. Anna that you are babysitting. Funny how the little ones are always the loudest barkers. We use to have a little dog named Sake (pronounced like Japanese wine). He stole my heart and honestly to this day I can' get another dog. My daughters dog visits us often. Molly is a whole lot to handle as she is a big dog and likes to eat any food I leave on my kitchen counters. She ate 64 meatballs in 10 mins. and another time 4 meat loaves that were cooling on my counter. Think they should have named her Bandit!

  23. She gives a Hi-5?!? That is too cute! We have a Golden Retriever who will be three this month whom we absolutely adore. He is wonderful with the kids and, other than playing with them, won't leave my side. We also rescued a poodle-terrier mix that was in a bad situation. He's young and still learning, but he's already a forever member of our family.

  24. Hi Rose, I'm a follower from a few weeks back who's just poking my head in to say "Hi" and see what you had up and got a treat. I loved hearing about your little foster dog Ms. Anna you're babysitting for. I can see you enjoy her as much as your own brood and I don't blame you one bit. She's adorable with little white feet too and smart to boot.

Hope the birds like their temporary bathroom home. I'm sure in a few weeks everyone will be in their ownrespective homes and you can enjoy a little quiet time with your own 5 babies - while knowing those you love are just a few doors down. Lucky you.

  27. If Miss Anna was black, she would be an exact duplicate of my sister's "Beast" (named from Beauty and the Beast) He was the SMARTEST dog I have ever seen before or since, AND that is saying a lot since I've known several genius dogs over the years. He is one I will always remember and I loved him as much as any of my own dogs. The thing I will always remember most is his love for my sister (an vice versa) On the day that he took the Rainbow Bridge, she had taken my oldest sister to the airport, and was gone most of the day. Apparently, according to the vet, he had a heart attack fairly early in the day, but he waited for her until she got home. Shortly after she arrived and spent about a half hour with him, he gasped and started to pass... stopped breathing, etc. She started to wail and cry and he suddenly started breathing again (it had been a few minutes) struggling to stay with her, until I told her that she would have to tell him that it was ok to go... she did, and then he stopped breathing and relaxed. She waited about 10 minutes before starting to cry again softly. So... many people would say it was "just a reaction" but I was there and will believe what I saw, and so will she. It has given her so much comfort over the years since, to know that he loved her so much.
