The car on the side of the barn is just way too funny! lol I have an old Ford Broncho II sitting in my backyard. Maybe I should suggest he put it on the side of the barn so he won't have to mow around it! Isn't it funny how they will mow around junk cars but they don't want to mow around flower beds! I just had a lightbulb moment here about that junk in the backyard! Sigh.... Hmmm......
Does every barn in N. Georgia have a Mercedes mounted on the wall? Seeing that always gives me a smile. I could possibly mount our baby girls Little Tykes car on the side of our garage when she out grows it, but somehow I don't think it's the same thing. LOL. Have a lovely weekend!
I'm totally coveting the barn! I sure wish we had that beauty on our property...maybe without the car, although it's funny as heck and my hubby would think that is the best..me? Well, I wouldn't mind having one to drive!
I love your barn, Rose! It reminds me of my grandparents' barn. My aunt and uncle live there now, but I make sure and visit every summer, and take a new picture of it and go inside and smell it. There's nothing like the smell of a barn! Have a great weekend! Carol
I can't remember if you ever told us visitors to your blog which state you live in....but I must say that all the photos remind me of my youth when I practically grew UP on my grandparents' farm.
Well my first comment got lost/ha Thanks for stopping by....I love finding a new friend...your profile makes me want to read more....have a good day Rose....I love your pictures...
Lucky you to still have your Moms board. I will be still be here on the island so I will miss the luncheon but I am sure Sue will tell you how crazy I am:-) You will like Sue and the other girls as everyone is so friendly. I hear the tea room is nice an the food is good so don't eat a big breakfast before you go. Take lots of photos and post them.
Your place is just beautiful! Love the car on the barn, too! We had an old "Woody" Station Wagon that my Dad put in our back yard after they got another car and my sister's and I played in it for MANY years like a playhouse/car. He had also built a BIG treehouse in a HUGE old Fig tree that we could play in, and he painted murals on the garage and chicken pen walls. He had become disabled at the age of 39 and passed away at the age of 49. Linda
I'm not much of a baker...I try to stay away from it...if it is in the house I will eat it...However, my relatives were all Finnish...and talk about baking...WOW! and if you went to their house and didn't have what they put out it was considered rude... but was it ever good!
I love to bake, Rose. And no...don't use any mixes.
At Christmas I love to bake cookies or make candy and they are my favorite goodies to bless my neighbors with. Each and every year I seek out something new... My overall favorite is Sugared Pecans and Almond Brittle.
I loved reading about your Momma. What a memory. What a blessing. What I wouldn't give to have that Board!
