COMPUTERS

I am getting old-more time since retirement. Born in a time of no knowledge of computers. My heart and love is working with people and not machinery. Along comes the computer. The battle is waged. This warrior galloping away from fighting the computer. Alas, I lose the battle-time to yield to the enemy. Slowly, bowing down feeling much frustration' Marching forward into that new world of the computer. Step by step, making some progress, mastering the off/on e-mail, Google, Yahoo.Oh! what a new world alot to see and learn. Stepping to the beat. the world of blogging is calling. Head high, fingers nimble the keyboard trying to create and following blogs. Little do I KNOW THAT I'M intrigued by the blog world. Is this a new treasure? I'm DETERMINED TO GO FORWARD, INCH BY INCH TO master this machine to all or almost it's wonders. Oh! be patient with me. I WILL move forward , making mistakes and asking for help. Alas, I'm determined that age won't prevent me in this battle with the computer,I will blog, reach out to other bloggers and not give up in putting my fingers to the computers keyboard and learning as I go. YOU are never too old to learn.

  5. I had no idea there even was a book in the series Blogging for Dummies. I may have to get that book because I know there must be tons of short cuts I could be using when setting up my blog posts. My friend Joyce's recipe is just huge pretzels just covered with dark chocolate and sprinkled with chopped nuts of various flavors. So delicious.

  9. Hi Rose! Your blog is great! It took me awhile to catch on, and I know that I am still a rookie and don't know that much! But, I know enough to do what I want/like to do, so I guess that's all I need! Have a great day! (And I also wanted to tell you that I added a link to see a video of Ray S. being interviewed on TV yesterday. It wasn't on there yet, when you left your comment.)

  10. Hi Rose!

Nice to meet you! I have been blogging for about 2 years now and believe me, it still confuses me sometimes! LOL I think you are doing great! And what is really wonderful, is in a blog, you can ask for help from everyone and people are so generous with coaching you. I have sent out a blogging "SOS" many a time and learned a lot of things from my readers!

  12. You're doing great Rose... I always say that if I had a baseball bat in my computer room it would smash the heck out of that machine! But I love the blog world and I'm just amazed at how many blogs and what various types are out there! I wish I had more time to devote to it...but that would not be very productive would it!

  17. I agree - learning new things keeps you young! If my 87 year old mom can figure out the computer basics, ANYONE CAN!

  18. Hi Rose....don't feel bad...it took me two years to learn how to add a link in my posts...people sent me complicated instructions, the daughter tried to explain it and one blogger actually got mad that I would have to write out the whole address instead of just one word...she thought I was an idiot...well another blogger....named Rose...explained it in one sentence...it was so simple the way she described it...and I have been doing links since then....You will meet the other Rose next month...and i am looking forward to meeting you too!!

  19. Rose, you are doing great! If I didn't know that you were new that would have never crossed my mind! You have a talent for writing so I enjoy coming by when I'm able and reading your blog. When you get a chance please email me at meandmineinasmalltown@gmail.com since I have something to tell you and rather write you instead of putting it on a post. Thanks!!

  20. We are all in the same boat, paddling away, trying to go upstream, but I've found so MANY new friends to laugh with, cry with, and pray with here. They are all so willing to help in any way they can.

I have seen that book and hope to get a copy to learn more about this subject that I've really started to love! Linda (Grammy from Corgi Country)
