THE TRAIN
THE TRAIN is traveling, making trips and stops,
where will it finally rest?
It's easy to get wrapped on a trip, that you
missed the joy of the beginning.
It's time to get back on the track,
travel at a slower pace,
say HELLO, to ALL who passes my way.
Rose
Like a train, I feel that it's time to stop, take time to get back to
blogging, checking in and saying Hello.I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had snow on Christmas Day in Ga. It was beautiful. New Years was quiet, but safe.Busy with family, friends, volunteering. My goal of this 2011, is weight reduction, increase volunteering, enjoying life with all it's ups and downs. For those of you who know, we are the parents of 5 babies(dogs), we now have adopted a new baby(dog), her name is Mattie. I'm a sucker and after hearing that her owner had died and this dog needed a home we introduced her to her new 5 siblings. All has gone well, and we named our new baby, Mattie. All of our babies have names starting with the letter M. as our last name starts with M.When I was a young child I had a severe fear of dogs. Up until age 8, I would run, jump on items, including making my parents hold me if a dog was insight. Mother and Dad bought a Chihuahua and after jumping on the kitchen table, I worked on my fear and thank goodness no longer had to jump onto our table. Dog fear solved,so what can I say, my parents did a great job in helping me. Hopefully, I will come to my senses and my husband and myself will keep our family number the same, now 6. Bear with me to get to your blogs, bear with me if my posts sometimes experience a "time lapse". I have been having problems with photos, but will try to include some photos.
Welcome back. I was wondering today what had happened to you. Hope you had an enjoyable break. Snow on Christmas Day in Georgia? That's almost a miracle!
ReplyDeleteWhew, I thought maybe someone kidnapped you! I'm glad you're back and welcome to your new family member..how kind you are to rescue a pup who needed a home. I'm sure she's happy to be with you! I was bitten by a dog really bad when I was 7. Attacked and literally chewed! So I'm very leary of dogs I don't know, but once I'm around them and they are nice to me, I'm OK..My brother lives in Georgia and they were very excited to have snow then, but not so excited after Christmas! Glad you're back and good luck with all those resolutions!
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from you, Rose! I was hoping you were OK. :)
ReplyDeleteMattie is so cute. I'm glad you could give her a home.
You've got such a big heart. The world needs lots more people like you.
Welcome back, Rose. I was so afraid something had happened to you or your husband when you didn't blog for so long.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new addition to the family! Soon you'll have as many "mouths to feed" as me and my husband do! LOL We have 3 dogs, 16 cats, 2 rabbits, and a parakeet--and that's 2 dogs less than we had 2 years ago when our oldest two passed away. Happy parenting :)
Hi Rose, we MISSED you and were worried about you, congratulations on your new baby, there is nothing like pets to make a house a home, we have 2dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, I like everyone to have some company........
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! I've missed you and was worried about you! I sent you an e-mail not too long ago, too, but not sure if you rec'd it because you usually reply. I even asked Chatty Crone if she had heard from you or knew anything. I'm just glad to know you are well and have a new "baby" in the house!! Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose! I have missed you my friend, however I do understand, I myself have been a bit MIA these days with my new work schedule. Mattie is absolutely adorable and I would have done the same thing after learning her story! All of the photos you have included are great! Hugs!

Rose, I needed to get back here and answer your questions! First, my name is Kathy, my grandkiddos call me YaYa..it's Greek for Grandma, but not really spelled that way, it's spelled YiaYia..but it's easier to spell it YaYa..and my brother lives in Acworth, Ga..He works for my older brother out of Chicago, but works from his home in GA..and his wife is a high school principal..they love Georgia. Very different from growing up in Chicago!

Welcome back Rose. I hope all is well. these are some great photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the Irish !!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you said you were on the over 50 list ? Is there one ? I am even older and would like to find like minded women who think as I do. I have done the home redo''s for years, made furniture, etc. and now would love to connect with those who talk and slow down a bit.
I love the younger folks, but long for a conversation with someone 60-ish.
Any blogs you know of ?
I plan to continue reading yours........
