I think that most people would have to admit the weather has been "wild",
too much rain, snow, wind. Living in Georgia, we rarely expect to get snow.
In the past no. of months, we have had snow (2-4 in.)on Christmas Day.We have
had snow two times since Christmas. This amount of snow may not seem much,
but Georgia isn't equipped to deal with this as other states. Recently,
we had a few days with sun and temps. between 50-60 degrees. I, hope you
enjoy the photos I took when I went to Berry College. I, was amazed to
see some students laying on blankets on campus enjoying the sun. Also
included are two photos showing buds on the trees as well as the yellow
jonquils coming up from the ground. All that I see are wonders of life and
blessings given to us from God.

Beautiful pictures Rose! Looks like Spring has arrived where you live. We still have snow on the ground in West Virginia but it is melting.
ReplyDeleteHave a Wonderful Weekend!

You are so right about our GA weather this year. Such a hot, hot summer (at least here in south GA) in 2010 and now such a cold winter. I don't look forward to the heat and gnats so am trying not to complain too much about the cold. At least in the winter I can cozy up inside with my blanket and a warm fire! I need to learn how to make a collage of pictures like these. All you smart bloggers amaze me!
ReplyDeleteRose, these spring photos are so beautiful. I agree, wonders of life are everywhere. Sometimes, we just need to stop for a moment and look around us to see all the beauty.
ReplyDeleteHave a weekend filled with beauty and joy!
We've had more snow this year than we've had in 6 years. I'm loving it, though! Berry College isn't far from where we used to live! Beautiful area!
ReplyDeleteThose scenes look like our early spring...now it's just snow, ice and snow and ice! A little warm up is coming this weekend and hopefully we can get our front walkway and decks cleaned up. Did I tell you that my brother lives in Acworth GA..? He's a Chicago boy, but has been living in GA for a while and he wasn't happy to have to deal with your winter this year. Hope it's all up hill from here!
ReplyDeleteI love the jonquils coming up! We don't have that here yet! these pictures look like they were taken in the summer!
ReplyDeleteEven in Rome there are signs of spring, and yet here a little further south I have no reminders that spring is in the air. What's up?
ReplyDeleteWell, your pictures give me hope anyway.
Your photos are beautiful, Rose. I'm so jealous that you have bulbs popping out their heads already! It'll be at least another couple months here in Denver. Thanks for coming over to my place and introducing yourself this week!
ReplyDeleteBuds on the trees means spring! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI have relatives and friends that live in Georgia. They have all been surprised by this winter, that's for sure.
ReplyDeletePretty pictures, Rose! Have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
Coreen
Lovely photos, Rose. And I think even if you have a few decorations as a reminder of something--Valentines Day, this time--it just brings a little joy to someone's life. Don't you agree? Have a blessed weekend. Gloria
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Rose! We sure have had weird weather here in our State! When I got back from the grocery store today, my husband was sitting out by the pool:) NICE weather today! Enjoy your weekend my friend! HUGS!

ReplyDeleteI'm sayin'!!! Here on the Ponderosa in southern Missouri we have had our fair share of record snowstorms and sub zero weather. Your pictures remind me there are warmer days to come! Woohoo...I do believe we are a nation ready for spring!!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya and have a beautiful weekend!!!
The pictures look wonderful! We are excited to be having temps in the 30's this coming week:) It has been a wild winter hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteLove your photographs--a reminder that spring is near, and I am so ready! Too much sickness this winter!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Georgia is not equipped to handle snow :)
We certainly have had some strange weather. My granddaughter and her girls just went back to Fort Stewart to be with her husband,

Signs of spring are an exciting rebirth of nature. A crocus peeking through the leaves is thrilling. You have a good eye for that message from the Universe that new life is emerging. A good post. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLove and Peace.
oh, i am enjoying these photo's. for I am really missing the springtime when early flowers start to bloom. yes, they are truly wonders
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing Rose
We Southerners really can freak out over snow, but love it at the same time. I only took one photo this year. Bad momma!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had gotten snow this year. Last February we had enough to stick around for a couple of days. It was GLORIOUS! Your photos are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI do love these pictures. They are refreshing to my eyes. Are those knobby knees of Cypress trees?
ReplyDeleteAnd I love snow falling down when I don't have to drive in it, but the last couple of storms have been a bit much. We broke all kinds of records in Oklahoma last week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these wonderful pictures! I can understand you not being equipped for this type of weather. But with me being in Ontario Canada it is a given every year. It is funny that whenever we have driven down to Florida as soon as we get to Georgia we immediately start to notice the change of weather. Our winter hats start coming off!
ReplyDeleteHey Rose,Love the photo's.How you been?..yep we've gottin' alot of rain here in the southeast part of Georgia too...but I feel Spring in the air, and I'm excited about it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine Day, Have a wonderful week.

Hi Rose,
ReplyDeleteAppreciating the photos from Southern California and sending you warm wishes for a happy Valentine's Day!
Love,
Me
These are lovely and just what I needed to see on a grey wet and windy day (again). We had some sunshine for a day and I too saw the beginnings of Spring but this winter has dragged on and on. Lovely to be reminded of what is just around the corner now. :)
ReplyDeleteI cry when it gets under 60 degrees!!! I love the ducks in the pond! Great photos Rose!
ReplyDeleteOh, just the thought of seeing some sign of spring would be wonderful! It is warming up here and slowly melting the snow so, that is a good thing. of course, that will just mean we will get slammed with another snow storm soon. :(
ReplyDeleteWe have also had more snow than usual for this part of tennessee. And we are ready for spring! WOO HOO! I am following your blog, you are welcome to follow mine as well. Blessings jane
ReplyDeleteCannot WAIT FOR SPRING! Yay! Fun photos:)
ReplyDeleteI agree about Georgia, since I live here also! It has been strange, but this week has been 70 degrees. Weird?
ReplyDeletekim
Great photo's I think the entire world is having weird weather right now.
ReplyDeleteRose, your pics are fabulous. I have heard so much of Berry College; after your post, I am determined to visit and have a looksy for myself. I do not like being cold, but do love being snuggled under heavy blankets in a cold house during the night. I will miss that part of winter.
ReplyDeleteWith the Ga weather today, the outdoors calls to me as the sirens to the sailors of yore.
We had some gorgeous days too. It even went up to 70 degrees one day. then a few days ago we got another few inches of snow! :o( Thanks for the pictures. I can't wait til spring! Blessings, Joanne
