reflect into our lives of the people and possessions we have, not taking
these for granted.Take time to pray and thank God. I wish to all of you

  1. When I was growing up our church had an eleven o'clock Thanksgiving Day service. But the events of the day started much earlier than than that with the Sunday school teachers of the Youth Department taking us out to the Baptisy Assembly Grounds for tag football, stone skipping in the river, races, sing-a-long around a camp fire, and a breakfast feast that that was prepared over grills. Some how we managed to do all this and be back in time for the church service.
Not a Thanksgiving goes by that I do not remember those teachers for their dedication and patience. Today I am trying to find a church, of any denomination that has a Thursday service.
Hope your day, and all days are happy.

  9. Rose this is one of your best entries. I love it. So much truth in it. Rose I would like to explain my comment on moving forward. In my 81 years it was not all bad. I have been set back on my heels at times but never did I stop climbing forward. All we worked for seems like we older people are going to be shortchanged. At times I get carried awaty with ny words.
